The Bull’s Head has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join our fantastic venue. Using the best in seasonal British produce, the Junior Sous Chef will be an active part in menu development, creation of daily specials, and the training and development of the junior team members

While doing this you will be exposed to further development opportunities of your own, learning to manage the kitchen and understand the financial aspects of the department.

The ideal Junior Sous Chef:

  • Be a savvy and forward thinking with enthusiasm to progress to Sous Chef
  • Have a background within a similar pub/restaurant environment
  • Thrive under pressure and excel in busy environments
  • Be able to nurture the team and help them achieve their goals
  • Have experience working at Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef level in a quality led venue
  • Have a strong grasp of stock control, budgets and scheduling

As Chef de Partie you are a positive, reliable, integral member of The Bull’s Head kitchen operation. You’ll have to be hardworking and trustworthy and used to working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll show attention to detail by maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen team as well as consistently serving well presented, wholesome dishes in a timely manner. You’ll be passionate about preparing and cooking great, fresh food for your guests to enjoy, you will treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times and you will share your team’s energy and passion to contribute to The Bull’s Heads ongoing success

The Bull’s Head is open 7 days a week, therefore we can offer a flexible working schedule for chefs that either want more of a work/life balance or who have other commitments. Depending on your needs and the needs of business, if successful in your application, a possible rota can be discussed that would suit everyone

As kitchen porter you are the heart of our kitchen operation, an integral team player who is hardworking and trustworthy. You are the unsung hero and backbone of our kitchen. Alongside the rest of the team, you make sure everything is kept as clean and tidy as possible. You are the bringer of pots and pans and vital to the kitchen, ensuring service runs as smoothly as possible. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen team. You will share our energy and passion to contribute to The Bull’s Head’s high standards and ongoing success

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with no experience in hospitality but who wishes to progress to a chef with our on-site 'Cheshire Cat Chef Academy' due to commence soon with training integral to the role
